Board-Certified Internist · Hospitalist · Founder & Physician · Soma Concierge Care
Soma is first and foremost a comprehensive primary care practice. I manage everything from acute illness and chronic disease to medication management and specialist coordination — the full scope of internal medicine. What makes Soma different is that we layer advanced preventive care, precision diagnostics, and a genuine physician-patient relationship on top of that foundation.
My philosophy is rooted in Medicine 3.0 — a shift from reactive disease management to the active optimization of your healthspan. As a Hospitalist, I have spent much of my career at the front lines of acute care at some of the most respected healthcare systems in the country. I have seen the end-stage of diseases that could have been identified, managed, and even reversed years prior.
Practicing at Scripps — consistently ranked among the top hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report — allowed me to develop expertise in cardiology and complex internal medicine.
At Ochsner, I practiced at the forefront of acute care medicine. During COVID-19, I served as Medical Director of the High-Acuity COVID Unit. I remain on staff as a virtual hospitalist, continuing a trusted clinical partnership built on leadership and expertise.
My residency at this major academic hub in the Mid-Atlantic focused on evidence-based protocols for metabolic health and patient safety. Foundational to my clinical approach.
Serving our nation's veterans provided deep experience in managing chronic, multi-system diseases. It was here that I solidified my commitment to the Patients First philosophy.
On a Personal Note
Outside of medicine, my life reflects the same values I bring to my practice. A California native at heart, I am proud to call Monterey home. My family is my greatest joy and the deepest reason I am invested in the pursuit of longevity — because health is not preserved for ourselves alone, but for those we love.
